Hahahs, me watching the electoral poll results now. Prof Ho Peng Kee has won the constituency for Nee Soon East, which means at the end of this current term he would have served in the Nee Soon East GRC for 20 years! My parents voted for PAP lah, simply because of tradition, and their powers of persuasion. Can you believe it; Prof Ho Peng Kee actually turned up at my house 2 days ago, and I managed to speak to him! I suggested for more shopping centres, street soccer courts, and Christian places of worship! He stood there and listened intently, while his female secretary "furiously" took down all my requests. But seriously lah, does anyone really think that they will fulfill all my requests? For myself, I think that it is more for "show". They really aren't people leaders as much as I'm concerned, as they only try to cater and pacify us when the election draws near. When do you see them mingle frequently among the residents on an ordinary day? Haha, for that matter I feel that Pastors are better leaders!! Well, but then again I understand the PAP's limitations so I'm not going to take a dig at them anymore.
Personally I would love the PAP to occupy the whole parliament, and of course I have valid reasons for that. Firstly, unity brings forth prosperity. If you have 82 seats taken by the PAP but 2 still belonging to the opposition, then the whole parliament is not unified. 2 seats doesn't give the opposition room to voice their opinions and carry out "revolutionary" changes. Let the PAP take all 84 seats I say, so that a strong and unified government can be achieved and thus we can progress faster as a nation. And of course I've got several other points too, but I wouldn't want to bore you to death! Haha, I'm going to stop here for now. Adios!
P.S: Vote for me in the future. I'll cut taxes, increase the amount of holidays, scrap exams, erect a 12-feet chocolate fountain in the middle of the CC, free flow of teh tarik when you turn on your water taps on mondays, ban the "Da Vinci Code" movie, set the maximum school hours per day to 3, build more shopping centres, bring Red Rain in as and when the people want, scrap GST, Introduce a channel for christian-themed shows, make DOTA a compulsory CCA for all student at all levels, cut transport fees and blah blah blah...
